Exercise Sheets

The new exercises will be posted here each Thursday. You are expected to look at the problems over the weekend and prepare questions for the exercise class on Monday.

You can upload your solutions to the exercise sheets to get feedback via the SAMup tool by clicking on the corresponding links.

Each week you will find in the Series of Analysis III a “bonus” exercise. Based on the number P of correctly solved bonus exercises in the semester, a grade bonus (which is added to the unrounded final grade) will be awarded as follows: Bonus = MIN(0.0125 * P, 0.125).

Exercises marked with a ♣ sign are for the bonus; exercises marked with a ★ sign are more challenging.

We highly encourage students to provide direct feedback and ask questions to the lecturer, course coordinator, and teaching assistants regarding this course.

Preparation for the Exam

• In the bachelor's program in mathematics, according to the new regulations of 2021, the course unit Analysis III is examined together with Analysis IV. The written exam lasts 180 minutes and will take place in the exam session of summer 2025 (alternatively winter 2026).
• The exam program (which is the same for the oral and written exam) is available HERE.
• The table below provides a list of exercises for exam preparation, along with past exam questions. The solution will be uploaded on Polybox
